The Digital Women Awards which takes place every year to celebrate the work women are doing through digital. Whether that be by leveraging digital communities or building platforms to support others, the Women’s Champion Award recognises women who are raising up and recognising other women. These women created a supportive network, resources, community or place that helps to raise women up and support them.

Here are our incredible women who champion other women and the Digital Women, Women’s Champion Award 2022 Finalists:

Name: Kelly Cuesta

Company: Ingram Micro

Kelly is a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging advocate who is passionate about education, culture and systems change, tech and entrepreneurship. As a seasoned brand marketing and change communications specialist in tech, she has contributed to the development of the business for different sizes of tech companies in the SaaS industry by accelerating awareness and demand for the EMEA region. With a background in international business and marketing, Kelly has led MarCom strategies and integrated programs to increase employee engagement and connect companies more meaningfully to their customers. Currently, as the Principal Consultant, Global Cloud Employer Branding, Culture and Engagement at lngram Micro, Kelly is responsible for driving initiatives to build the organization into a more diverse workplace with inclusive culture On the side, Kelly advises purpose-led initiatives and entrepreneurs she believes in with a special focus on emerging leaders and social impact initiatives. Committed to promoting diversity & inclusion and female leadership to get a better society, outside of work, Kelly is an active member of Tech London Advocates Latam and VP of events for PWN Barcelona. She also leads different initiatives as a Women Techmakers Ambassador, Lean In Network Leader and DEI Advisor for Women in Tech. Kelly is passionate about raising the profile of marginalized groups in tech by speaking engagements, mentoring and content sharing. She is dedicated to motivating and inspiring audiences by sharing her story, her findings, and her knowledge around DEIB, corporate, Latina in tech in Europe and mental health

Name: Niki Hutchison

Company: Niki Hutchison Limited

Niki is a connector and champion of women. Via her online community of over 25,000, she teaches entrepreneurial women how to grow engaged audiences and takes them from feeling overwhelmed and overlooked, to confident and fully booked. Following a career spent mainly as a Strategic Planner within advertising agencies, she started this business in 2017 being absolutely passionate about teaching women how to accelerate their business growth. She has been developing strategies to grow businesses for over twenty years, including ten years as an entrepreneur. She has worked across multiple industries and has built two of her own businesses, in very different industries, so it’s safe to say that there are not too many business scenarios that she hasn’t experienced! Niki focuses on building strong communities of entrepreneurial women and using the tools at her disposal (business acumen, network, community building skills) to teach them the jargon-free, tried and tested, organic marketing methods that she has used (and continues to use), to achieve big results both within her own business and for her clients. Over the past 20 years, she has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurial women and corporate clients, supporting them to grow and communicate with their audiences enabling them to deliver impactful marketing campaigns that drive results.

Joy Foster is the founder and CEO of TechPixies, an award-winning, CPD-accredited social media training company on a mission to help women return to work, change careers, or start a business using the power of modern technology. Her desire to help as many women as possible upskill in social media is fuelled by a belief that tech education is the key to charting a path to financial independence and unlocking a future filled with opportunities. In the past year, Joy has been has been named one of the 100 most inspiring and influential Women in Social Enterprise (WISE100 2022) by Pioneers Post and NatWest, made the longlist for Computer Weekly’s Most Influential Women in UK Tech, and become a Local Champion for the South East in the 2021 Digital Leaders 100 Awards. Joy is a mum of two and is married to Olympic Gold medal-winning rower Tim Foster MBE.

Kavita Trevena, founder and creator of The Unlikely Mummy, based in Kent. A platform for mums without the fear of judgement. Whilst juggling work, motherhood and blogging she has so much more she still wants to give. She has supported National Childbirth Trust (NCT) with their Hidden Half Campaign for all mums to have a post 6 week check as well being interviewed by Jenny Murray from BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hours and interviewed by Channel 5 News. She has featured on a popular parenting Podcast “The Postnatal Podcast”, as well as creating an online community exclusive for all mums. Through this community she offers free resources, workshops, masterclasses and support. More recently, she has started introducing monthly Mindfulness and meditation sessions. She has featured in magazines, newspaper, spoken at conference, collaborated with Council on their outreach and feature on radio interviews. Her mission is to help all mums to feel safe and secure through parenting.

Tigz Rice is an Boudoir and Personal Branding Photographer based in Hertfordshire, UK, who helps fearless women, femmes and non-binary badasses re-connect with their bodies & feel empowered, confident & unapologetically present in both their personal and professional adventures. Combining luxury editorial photography with her own signature style of industry leading retouching, Tigz has found her purpose in life as the ultimate wing-woman: helping fearless womxn, femmes and non-binary badasses level up their self-confidence and self-worth and making feel empowered, confident and unapologetically present. By capturing the beauty she sees in every superhuman, the photographs created help her clients to begin dismantling their body image issues and spark a love affair with themselves. The best part of having your photograph taken is seeing the beauty that another person finds in you – and Tigz wants everyone to have that incredible and empowering experience too.

Name: Ally Zlatar

Company: The Starving Artist

Her own struggle against anorexia motivated Ally to raise awareness of eating disorders, body dysmorphia and illness through the power of art. In 2020, Ally’s work was included in over 15 exhibitions and residencies, with her exhibition ‘One Body, My Body, No Body’ debuting in cities such as London, Glasgow, Toronto and Amsterdam. Ally also created ‘The Starving Artist’, a global outreach initiative and publication covering artistic research and reflection from over 25 international artists. The publication also provided financial aid and educational resources around eating disorders and can be found in over 30 universities worldwide. Ally collaborates with eating disorder awareness groups across the UK and has worked directly with mental health organisations such as ‘Together! Disability’ Safeline UK and London Eating Disorder Conference. Ally states she is an individual who is both an artist and suffers from an eating disorder but uses her struggles to help others. Ally’s support has been invaluable not just for helping people understand how the artistic voice can make change but, also helps people directly help recover from their eating disorders.
