Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself?
A: My name is Jade Halstead and I am the Marketing Manager for Honcho, a Search Marketing Agency. I’ve been in the marketing industry for six years and what I love most about it is understanding the application of human behavior in marketing and why people buy. I’m also passionate about personal development and have recently started pursuing a future in life coaching and therapy, in addition to my marketing career. My mission is to support as many people as possible to create lives they adore.
Q: Can you tell us about your company and your role within it?
A: Honcho is a Search Marketing Agency and my role as Marketing Manager is to help our clients understand their customers’ pain points on a deeper level and work to help solve them with our products. We aim to provide great products and customer service to ensure repeat and loyal customers for life.
Q: Can you tell us about your professional background and accomplishments?
A: I’ve been in the marketing industry for six years and have developed my expertise in understanding human behavior and psychology in marketing. I have also recently started pursuing a future in life coaching and therapy.
Q: Can you tell us about your session at Digital Women Live in Birmingham on the 22nd of March?
A: My session is titled “Pain vs Pleasure: This is how you set goals if you’re serious about achieving them.” I will be discussing the reasons why 92% of people never achieve their goals and providing the audience with the tools and strategies they need to achieve their goals. I will be sharing my knowledge on how to align your goals with your perception of the pain and pleasure it brings and how to use that to your advantage.
Q: What’s the most exciting thing you’ve seen or experienced in digital/tech over the last 12 months?
A: I haven’t seen anything specific in the last 12 months, but I am excited to see more brands understanding their customers’ pain points on a deeper level and working to help solve them with their products.
Q: What are your predictions for the next 12 months in digital/tech?
A: I think budgets are going to get tight and brands will have to become smarter with their marketing. They will have to introduce human psychology to their marketing efforts and understand their customer’s pain points on a deeper level in order to succeed.
Q: What challenges do you feel you may be facing in the coming years with your role / business?
A: I think the main challenge will be marketing budgets as there is a risk that many brands will focus on short-term financial wins rather than the long-term success and growth of their businesses, which may result in marketing budgets being cut.
Q: What do you love about Digital Women events?
A: I love the attendees and the community at Digital Women events. It’s a great opportunity to meet and learn from other like-minded women in the industry.
