Building a Thriving Agency Business in Birmingham: A Q&A with Fran Nolan

As a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Tribera, Fran Nolan has over 20 years of experience in marketing, delivering for some of the biggest brands. In this Q&A, Fran talks about her journey in building a thriving agency business in Birmingham and what the audience can expect from her session at the Digital Women Live Event.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your journey in the marketing industry?

I have been working in marketing for over 20 years, delivering for some of the biggest brands in the industry. My key disciplines are branding, propositions, campaign, customer experience, and customer strategy. I have also ran numerous research and insight functions and love nothing more than getting under the skin of brands and understanding the consumer mindset and behaviours. I am now Co-Founder and MD of a creative agency called Tribera and am very passionate about leading with a fresh way of thinking and a progressive culture.

Can you give us a brief overview of your talk at the Digital Women Live Event?

My talk is a personal story about setting up an agency business from scratch to multi-millions in less than 3 years. I will talk about what the journey has been like and what I have learnt along the way. I will finish with what recommendations I would give to people who want to do the same!

What excites you the most about digital and tech over the last 12 months?

This is a toss up between ChatGPT or TikTok Lives.

What are your predictions for the next 12 months in digital/tech?

AI becoming more and more mainstream and wearable tech making a comeback.

What challenges do you feel you may be facing in the coming years with your role/business?

Finding and developing digital talent that will fully understand a range of tools i.e., AI and will be able to use/fuse them in unique ways to gain competitive advantage.
