Why vision boards work for personal, health and work goals and how to create one.

Why creating a vision board works?
Vision boards have been used widely as a tool for years and creating one can help you focus on your goals in a tangible way. When goals are written or shared they are more likely to be achieved than when they are simply in your head.
You can create a vision board about anything in life or work for money or health. Vision boards helps their creators by giving them a visual reminder to focus on the goals and the life they want to achieve. In fact, creating a vision board won’t just help you reach your goals but the process will help you determine what you really want in life.
When you have created your own vision board, it’s important that you place it somewhere you’ll see it everyday to help remind, motivate and inspire you towards your goals.
What is a vision board?
A vision board is a simple concept, it’s simply a collage or collection of images and visual ideas that show you where you want to be or do in life. Something to look towards and aspire to, to motivate you and remind you what you’re working towards. These visual cues could also help your subconscious brain work in the background making decisions to help you reach your goals faster.
How to create a vision board?
As creating a vision board is a matter of bringing together images that inspire you, such as: If you want to travel to particular cities you could add a photo of a landmark, if you want toned abs you could add a photo of some abs, if you want to gain a new skill you could add a certificate.
To create your vision board you can either do it physically or digitally. This means you can grab a large canvas board or piece of cardboard and gather images from magazines, papers, photos, print images from the web and stick them on your board and voila! It’s done. Or you could create a digital version, I use Canva for this and add stock images and lifestyle photos that represent what I want to achieve, the great thing about this digital version is you can add to it as you go along. You could even mark off what you have achieved in real time.
The real magic with creating a digital vision board is that you can use it for your laptop or computer screensaver, which is a great daily reminder of your goals especially if you use your computer each day. When creating your vision board free yourself from constraints and let your imagination and creativity run wild, think, what do I want, feel the emotions that come through and be mindful, really be at one with yourself and what you want in the moment. Allow yourself to be truly inspired, scroll through your instagram feed, look at pinterest or even flick through your favourite magazine.
Remember, your goals are very personal to you so don’t worry about whether they may be too small or too big there’s no judgement.
