What is an Instagram shop?
Facebook / Instagram Shops let you create a unique shopping experience on Facebook and Instagram plus it’s also free. When you create a shop with Facebook and Instagram, your customers can browse, explore and purchase your products right from your virtual shopfront on your Facebook business Page or Instagram business account.
As a seller, you can easily customise your shop to reflect your brand and update your product catalogue based on inventory. You can also manage all aspects of your shop across both Facebook and Instagram. With Shops, your customers can browse, explore and purchase your products directly on Facebook and Instagram.
Set up a shop in Commerce Manager
If you’ve met all of the eligibility requirements, you are ready to start the onboarding process for your shop in Commerce Manager.
A click-by-click guide for setting up your shop in Commerce Manager
Log in to Commerce Manager.
Click Get Started under Get started with shops.
Select where you want your customers to complete their purchase: your website, Direct or Checkout on Facebook or Instagram.
Under Choose your business, select the business Page that you want to add your shop to.
Fill in the requested information under Account details.
Under Where people can view your shop, select whether you’d like your shop to be based on your Instagram business profile, your Facebook Page or both.
Under Add a catalogue to showcase your items, select an existing product catalogue or create a new one.
Check your shop details, review the Merchant Agreement and click Create Your Shop.
Add products to your catalogue
One you have built the foundations of you shop in Commerce Manager, you’re a step closer to finishing the setup process. If you want to sell products, you’ll need to upload your products into your catalogue. After you upload your inventory into your catalogue, your shop setup will be complete.
